New Ryan Adams video for Chains of Love. Enjoy!
—The Concept
Teenage Fanclub - The Concept
Haven’t been able to get this song out of my head since I saw Young Adult last night. Really good movie (I love that I’m still thinking about it and all of the implications of it) with an even better soundtrack. Just the fix for a 90’s alt-rock craving I’ve been having lately.

—Two Doves
The Dirty Projectors - Two Doves
I love the twinkling guitar part, I love the shimmery harmonies… its probably my favorite song on their last album. I love how folk-y this song is, despite most of their stuff (at least that I know of?) being more electronic. Not to mention the lyrics are really beautiful, my favorite, “Please don’t defend a silver lining/ Around the halo of what is already shining.”
There’s something nostalgic in this song, in a really great way.

—Before
Washed Out - Before
I’m back!!
Anyway, this is my favorite song off this album. I’m really digging Washed Out lately. If you’re in the mood for some synthy, hazy pop music, you’ll really enjoy this.
In other news, I might make a “Top Albums of the Year” list if I can get my shit together. We’ll see!

Jonsi - Go Do
Been on a huge Jonsi kick lately. It makes for great study music (sometimes, if you don’t get weighed down by the complexity of his stuff.) Currently listening to his new soundtrack for the movie We Bought a Zoo, but I figured this would suffice as its just a truly amazing song. Its just so upbeat and… well, Icelandic. I think that is truly the best way to describe it. Between Björk and Sigor Rós, I think I may have to visit Iceland some day because all I’ve heard is just really great stuff from that country.

—3 Rounds and a Sound
Blind Pilot - 3 Rounds and a Sound
I realize I’m on some sort of softer/acoustic/vaguely folk kick… I have been all semester, making it hard to identify with a lot of my NYU peers who are all up on the electronic music front. But I can’t help it, all of the best music I’ve been introduced to (not necessarily new music) has been in this style. This is one of those songs.
I had the pleasure of seeing Blind Pilot in concert before I really knew who they were, and I’m so glad I did. They’re really great, a lot more “country-influenced” live then they are on recorded sound, but I can get into that. This song, probably one of their most popular, is really great and you should give it a listen. There’s something nostalgic in the notes. And if you can, try and find a video of their live performance of this song… it truly was one of my better concert experiences in life, to see them do this totally unplugged, on the floor next to the stage, with everyone sitting around them and singing the harmonies back.

—Don't Move
Phantogram - Don’t Move
Phantogram has really been killing it this past year. So in love with their stuff, so I figured I’d share this track.
**This is me trying to make up for lost time, sorry. I’m an inconsistant poster, most especially around finals… It’ll get better, I promise!**
